Correct!!! Not really a band at all...
Our musical sessions aim to remain as close to the 'tradition' as possible. They DO follow specific dates / times / locations for logistical reasons, but beyond that, try to be as spontaneous and un-rehearsed as possible.
The session exists FOR THE PLEASURE OF THE MUSICIANS TAKING PART, if any enjoyment is had by those watching or listening then that is a bonus. The session is NOT a performance and we do NOT assume an audience. With so many 'Jam Nights' and 'Open Mic' nights locally, we try to retain a specific genre of music. Namely ACOUSTIC English, Scottish and especially Irish. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to join in - well nearly everyone!
Regulars at these sessions are individual musicians from local bands, visiting musicians from neigbouring counties, Morris Men, etc. Never quite sure who and /or how many, musicians at any one time, makes for an ever changing session.
Above all.....keep it trad!
